There is no limit on being better. Natural talent is unfairly distributed, but there is no limit on how much we can improve wherever we start.

“Do not think that what is hard for you to master is humanly impossible; and if it is humanly possible, consider it to be within your reach.” — Marcus Aurelius

The key is taking small steps.

“Small steps have no competition in personal development — their unflinching effectiveness embarrasses every other strategy,” writes Stephen Guise.

It’s important not to compare yourself to others. Comparison is the death of joy. There will always be someone you think is “better.” The only competition is with ourselves.

There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow travelers; true nobility is becoming superior to your former self.

The best practice for what’s to come is to make the most of your current reality.

Get started.

Dig your well before you are thirsty. Build knowledge before you have to rely on it. Make internal pressure drive you today so that you can handle external pressure tomorrow.

Begin where you are with what you have.

“Today I shall behave as if this is the day I will be remembered.” — Dr. Seuss

Don’t long for a better life. Live the one you have. Wherever you are, be completely present.

Don’t Wish It Was Easier; Make Yourself Better.
